Standing 44-metres tall, the old Clock Tower, also known as Jianshaju tower, was erected in 1915 as part of the Kowloon–Canton Railway terminus. The once-bustling station, Kowloon–Canton station, is long gone, but this red brick and granite tower, now preserved as a Declared Monument in 1990, survives as an elegant reminder of the Age of Steam.

The Clock Tower faces towards the Victorian harbor. Originally settled with a big bronze bell, chiming every night to strike the hours which carries along several miles away. It has already become a sightseeing of Hong Kong.

After the Clock Tower’s opening to the public, tourists can reach to the platform of the top of the Clock Tower. Viewing from the exquisite window, tourists can enjoying the beautiful sightseeing of the city’s harbor.

Clock Tower has also been a memorable landmark for the millions of Chinese immigrants who passed through the terminus to begin new lives not just in Hong Kong, but in other parts of the world via the city’s harbor.
