Article edited by Cathy

Lying at the foot of the Elephant Mountain in the north of the ancient town of Lijiang, the Jade Spring Park, also known asYuquan Park Pool, originates in steams of spring water merging together to form a 40,000 sq meter pool and thus called the Black Dragon Pool.

The crystal clear water reflecting the Yulong Snow Mountain far beyond makes a fantastic view. Deyuelou, Wufenglou, Xietuoling, the Yiwen Pavilion, Wukong Bridge and Suocui Bridge are elegant ancient garden architectures.

Built in the second year of Guangyu, Qing Dynasty (1876), Deyuelou is the center of the Jade Spring Park. It was reconstructed in 1963. Here still established a Dongba Culture Institute, studying Dongba paintings, calligraphy and rituals, etc.

Wufenglou, started in Ming Dynasty (1601) ,is an important historical relics protected by the Yunnan province. Due to 20 cornices similar to five flying phoenixes hence got its name Wufenglou.

The Stone Lions in Civilization Square was built in Wanli, Ming Dynasty. There are four stone lions two male and two female. Weathering in wind and rains, they are still the guard of the Jade Spring Park. Tourist can also listen to the Naxi ancient music on the Dragon Temple.
